Ashgate Hospice is an inderpendent charity, which relies on voluntary donations. Since it opened in 1988, the Hospice has served the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire area providing specialist palliative care for people with terminal illness through its in-patient beds, day centre, home care and hospital support services. Most Hospice patients have cancer, but the needs of those with other life-threatening illnesses are also recongnised. Our main aim is to provide specialised palliative care to all our patients so they can live their life to the full. Patients come to Ashgate for numerous reasons but we try to ensure that a homley and family environment is provided throughout with support for the whole family unit.

On Friday 13 July 2001 the Ashgate Hospice will hold its first weekly lottery draw, will it be lucky for you? The lottery will raise vital funds for our work in the local community and enable us to plan for the future; it will give you the opportunity to win great cash prizes.
